Ronaldo’s car crash: a bit like the state of the economy

Thankfully, Man Utd star Cristiano Ronaldo has been unhurt in his accident yesterday when he crashed his Ferrari.  Many twentysomething lads have such incidents, and the young football player will no doubt be mourning the loss of his beautiful car.

However, older, more experienced people – like Gordon Brown and Alistair Darling – should know better than turning the British economy into a car wreck.

The difference is that, while Ronaldo didn’t crash his Ferrari for ideological reasons (it just happened), the Labour Government is crashing the British economy because of their bankrupt ideology, Brownian (dis)economics, and the problem is that few of us will be unhurt as a result.
